The modern view on the problem of toxocariasis infestations in children (literature review)

Children toxocariasis infestation is a serious problem in practice of physicians of different specialties today. Mainly this fact is caused by the long stay of the larvae toxocara in a child's body, besides, the clinical symptoms of disease may be absent or have minimal intensity. In addition, toxocariasis has no typical clinical picture that results late diagnosis and treatment. The article summarizes published literature concerning the modern aspects of the epidemiology, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of this parasitosis in children.
